Over 8 days audiences watched a dozen or so concerts and performances inspired by the traditional cultures of Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, Laos, Singapore, Russia, India and Sri Lanka. Theaters were full.

About 50 festival events will be taking place in several Wroclaw venues and outdoors. Bral added that it will be especially outdoor events that will provide an opportunity to learn about the rich heritage of the Far East. The market square will host, among other events, workshops on rituals and traditional Korean ceremonies during which Wroclaw residents will have a chance to learn how to dance traditional dances and write best wishes in Korean.

It is good and kindness that counts. The Brave Festival is not just art for art’s sake. A portion of proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Rokpa International, an organization that provides help to homeless children in Africa, India and Tibet.
