PUPPET THEATER
The first puppet performance in post-war Wroclaw took place on October 18, 1946 in the Puppet and Actor Theater, opened by Zenon and Elzbieta Kalinowicz at 12 Rzeznicza Street. The building at 4 Teatralny Square, then occupied by the Polish-Soviet Friendship Society and now home to the Wroclaw Puppet Theater (WTL), is a former Merchant Social Club. It was built in 1892-1894 in neo-baroque style. Today, WTL is a major European theater. The company has toured extensively abroad and has received many awards and accolades. More about Puppet Theater
