The festival club will host modern musicians who draw inspiration from the cultures they come from. Their music is saturated with the sounds of their lands and their work shows that their cultures are not dead – they are just changing like the faces of people that surround them. Performers will include the Bulgarian group Nassekomix, Mombus from Murmansk and the Manu Alban Trio, a band playing music inspired by Peruvian Creole rhythms.

On the other hand, we want to show how enriching ancient cultures can be. How important it is for the modern musicians not only to seek new sounds and look at what is happening in the modern music scene, but also to explore the voices of the past which can add depth to modern music, enrich it and increase its impact. They can also help create a connection between the musicians and the audience. They give a unique identity to the artists working in the field of modern music and reveal the universal truth about man. The wisdom, depth and universal nature of traditional cultures, so easily drowned out by mass culture, are evident.
