Aguaviva, a small town in Teruel, Spain, has been observed to be losing its population. In order to prevent the figures from further decrease its mayor made an international appeal to families willing to settle permanently in the town, in exchange for work and a residence. Pujol's film is a study on the relationship between the native inhabitants of Aguaviva and the Argentineans, Rumanians, Chileans and other foreigners who decide to settle down and build their lives there. “Aguaviva” is a journey with a strong emotional impact that encourages us to reflect on such problems as uprooting, difficulty of accepting the unknown…
